Fighting Childhood Cancer: St. Jude 30 Miles in May Challenge
Starting May 1, I’m taking part in St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s Walk 30 Miles in May Challenge. I’ve committed to walking 30 miles throughout the month to raise funds and bring much-needed attention to childhood cancer—something that affects far too many children and families every year.
Why St. Jude Needs Our Help
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is largely funded through the generosity of donors. These donations help to find cures, provide treatments, and support families dealing with childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. One of the most amazing aspects of St. Jude is that families never receive a bill for treatment—no one should have to worry about medical costs when their child is fighting for their life.
Did You Know?
Cancer comes in many forms and can affect anyone, but childhood cancer is particularly heartbreaking. Although rare, pediatric cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in children and adolescents. These young fighters deserve a chance, and funding research can help provide it.
