1. Explore Historic Old Town San Diego
Recognized as the birthplace of California, explore historic Old Town San Diego and learn about the life in the Mexican and early American periods of the mid-1800s. You can walk around and see the beautiful historic buildings that were created during the time that still remains. You can also see the shift Old Town went from being a Mexican town to an American settlement.

2. Meet Shamu at SeaWorld
SeaWorld is undoubtedly a must when in San Diego. Of course, SeaWorld is known for its famous animal shows. Watch as Shamu puts on an unbelievable performance directed by trainers. From jumping in the air to swimming on their backs, these whales know how to impress. Also, watch as the dolphins make a splash on their own doing flips and all kinds of turns. But, don’t sit too close as the Soak Zone is exactly that – the animals will soak you!
3. Go Kayaking in La Jolla
Make your way to La Jolla and spend the morning kayaking out on the ocean. You can explore the beautiful sea cliffs and see the unique marine life including sea lions, leopard sharks and even the occasional dolphin. If you want to get closer, get in the water and go snorkeling!
4. Experience the Thrill at Knott’s Berry Farm
Located in Bueno Park, Knotts’s Berry Farm is recognized as California’s best amusement park. A two-in-one park, you can start your day in Soak City and take advantage of the many water rides and slides for kids and adults alike. Then make your way over to the dry side and soar high in the air with rides that take you over 300 feet in the air. You can tour the park’s Old West Ghost Town or visit Camp Snoopy, home of the Peanuts gang!
