Fighting Childhood Cancer: St. Jude 30 Miles in May Challenge
Starting May 1, I will be participating in St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s “Walk 30 Miles In May” Challenge. I’ve committed to walking 30 miles next month to help raise funds for those affected by childhood cancer and bring greater attention to this terrible disease.
Funding for St. Jude Comes from Donors
The majority of the funding for St. Jude comes from generous donors. These donations help find cures and treatments for childhood cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Because of these donations, families never receive a bill from St. Jude. No family should have to worry about financial issues due to cancer treatment.
Did You Know? Childhood Cancer Facts
Many of us are familiar with cancer, a disease that has many forms, the ability to affect anyone, and has the potential to be life-threatening. Childhood cancer, also known as pediatric cancer, is cancer in children. While childhood cancer is a rare disease, it’s the leading cause of death by disease in children and adolescents.
