The Fourth of July is a favorite holiday of mine. And not just because of all the fun activities that the widely observed holiday provides. Don’t get me wrong; I like parades, fireworks, and a good backyard barbecue with family and friends. But today isn’t just another holiday. It is the holiday. For without Independence Day, we wouldn’t have all that we do now.
In the Declaration of Independence, our founding fathers affirmed the importance of freedom, constrained government, and personal accountability. We honor these extraordinary leaders who made all of this possible today.
