Motivation That Moves Me: Words from Peloton Instructors

We all come across motivational quotes about health and fitness—whether on social media, blogs, or through a simple Google search. Many are familiar, often repeated, and frequently have no source attached, which can make them feel like common phrases rather than advice from a credible expert.

Hearing words of encouragement directly from a professional changes everything. These words aren’t pulled from images or videos all over the internet—they’re spoken in the moment by experienced trainers and fitness instructors, right when you need that extra push to keep going or challenge yourself further.

Thanks to Peloton instructors, I’ve been able to stay motivated, push myself, and keep going even when it’s tough. Because they are highly regarded in the fitness world, their words feel more personal, meaningful, and influential than anything I’d read online.

Joining the Peloton Family (Backstory)

I joined Peloton in September 2021, and the Peloton bike was instrumental in keeping me consistent. I was excited to try all the classes available and wanted to add more workouts to my routine. I had already lost roughly 50 lbs that year, starting my weight loss journey in January through a calorie deficit and regular exercise, and Peloton helped me to keep going.

And it wasn’t just the bike—Peloton’s wide variety of classes pushed me in ways I hadn’t expected. I was never much of a weightlifter until Peloton, and I also discovered shadowboxing, Pilates, and kettlebell workouts through their platform.

Continuing My Weight Loss Journey

During my pregnancy with my second child, born in June 2024, I gained more weight than expected. A few weeks after she arrived, once I got the go-ahead from my doctor, I resumed my weight loss journey. Since then, I’ve dropped 50+ pounds and stayed consistent with workouts and my diet. The convenience of Peloton has been a huge help—being able to work out from home as a mom makes it easier to stay on track. I also love the variety of classes and different time lengths, which make it simple to fit a workout into my schedule.

Saving the Instructors’ Wisdom

As I continued working out with Peloton, I loved hearing the instructors’ words, so I started typing them into my Notes app to look back on during days when I needed a little push. I’ve also compiled some of these quotes into a video, so you can see and hear the encouragement in action during workouts. I hope these words inspire you as much as they’ve inspired me to keep going and stay consistent on your own fitness journey.
